My favorite POV, first person...and well done.Story moves quickly. No information dumps,but still enough world building and character development to get involved and care about the outcome. Finished the book in three day and am looking forward to the next in the series!

ALF Warz The Iron Sergeant eBook Kevin Lumley Reviews
The Iron Sergeant is the first in a very good new series about military combat in the future. Written in the first person, it describes military action loosely based on US Marine Force Recon operators, against Alien Life Forces(ALF) and human enemies as well. A very good read, and I am looking forward to the next one. I hope it won't be too long.
An interesting and captivating perspective on a traditional plot scenario.... enjoyable read ... looking for more from this author
I downloaded a sample of The Iron Sergeant and immediatly ordered the full copy after reading it!
The only problem was after buying it and devouring the book in one sitting, i realized the sequel wasnt finished yet (
If your looking for a fun & enjoyable weekend read, i would def recommend this book.
The Iron Sergeant is both a bit gritty and witty, the storyline smooth and charachters well balanced.
It doesnt dvelve too much into anything, morals, etichs, techs, world building or characthers.
Kevin Lumley takes just enough of everything and merge it into a good paced story that keeps you flipping pages
until you realize its the End, and no more pages to flip..

It might not be for hardcore military scifi fans that gets annoyed by a diviation of established rules and procedures.
Its fiction and it plays out in a far away future.
So, who can tell what is wrong and what is right about relationships e.g.
All in all, judging the book for what it is, and what its supposed to do.
I would like to give this book a 4.5 star rating ( which cant be done, so 5 then )

Entertaining to the last.
Loved it! Great story with tons of action. Master Sgt. Iron (Rye) Riker is a no nonsense kind of guy. A professional warrior but with his own moral code. He doesn't always do things by the book, but does the right thing as he sees it. Most of the time that works out fine and other times puts him in conflict with the higher-ups.
If you like military science fiction, check this one out. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.
The writing was a bit weak but I enjoyed the story very much, I will get the next book when it comes out.
